Saw Skeletonwitch twice last year opening for Amon Amarth and Children Of Bodom, but this was my first time seeing them headlining. The venue (Kung Fu Necktie) was a small bar with great sound and a nice beer selection. For some reason the show was supposed to end by 10:00pm so Skeletonwitch had to cut their set short, they only played about 45 minutes. But it was still awesome.

Yay, this had been the first show of Dark Fortress in their hometown Landshut for several years, and I had really been looking forward to this as "Ylem" is nothing but a fucking masterpiece.

I just found the setlists I wrote down for this show and thought I'd share em with everyone. It was an awesome show. I drove 5 hours to catch this show. They were playing in LA a few days later, but I was flying out of town that day for a wedding, so driving up to Mesa to catch this show at UB's Bar was the next best thing. My buddy and I got there around the time Dreaming Dead were starting. We were blown away by how awesome those girls were, they could shred! They played for about 30 minutes.... [Read More]

Travelled 22.5 miles by bus (one way), no ride back home, almost passed out after head banging like insane to "Killers", would have slept on the bus stop if I had to, because all this was to see the original singer of Iron Maiden perform. I got there kinda late.... The local opener did their last two songs, and then pose funeral started setting up. I took out my Uno deck and started shuffling, and the merch guy got in my face and started yelling dumb shit at me, like "You were adopted!" which made me lawl. Then he had security throw me out....
