GWAR -- Austin, TX -- November 18th, 2011
Zombies, March!
A Gathering Of Ghouls Storm Is Coming Jagermonsta Eighth Lock Crack In The Egg Bring Back The Bomb Immortal Corruptor Hail, Genocide! KZ Necromancer Metal Metal Land Let Us Slay Damnation Under God The Uberklaw Ham On The Bone The Salaminizer Maggots Sick Of You Show was listed at the East Side Drive-In on GWAR's website, the shirts, and in a couple of ads for the show, however it was moved to the Marchesa Hall at the last minute. Warbeast put on an amazing show, as did GWAR. I don't really care about Every Time I Die, so I didn't pay much attention to them. I'm assuming they had the same setlist that they had on previous dates. GWAR made a few remarks about their fallen brother. Some were more light-hearted ("he only thinks he got away", "on his escape, Flattus must have stopped off for a slushie at...Metal Metal Land!"), and some were more tragic ("and unfortunately we can't bring back Flattus Maximus...", "this one's for Cory Smoot!"). His guitar was placed to the right of the Maggot (facing the stage) by the amplifiers and a portrait of him reading "Rest in Pieces" was brought onstage during the end of the show, and a guestbook was placed by the merch booth for fans to sign in honor of Flattus. I'd highly recommend going to see this show if it comes to your area. GWAR shirts were $25, drumsticks were $10, as were belt buckles and necklaces (if I recall correctly). They also had a GWAR frisbee for the same price as the shirts.

Why buy drumsticks when you can catch them?

This is the first time I've heard of drumsticks or Frisbees being sold at a concert.
