CANDLEMASS fire Rob Lowe

He's been shit live, apparently. Can't say I'm surprised given the weird-ass mood he's been in over the last year or so. Anyone who is friends with him on Facebook will know what I mean.

Mats Leven is stepping in, which is awesome because he's superb fronting dooms bands. Might make them sound a bit like Krux, but still. Any Candlemass fan who has heard the version of the 'King of The Grey Islands' album with Mats singing knows he sounds great with them. I think I listen to that version more than I do the proper one!

Just wish they'd add some more shows to this farewell tour. They're not playing many at all.

What the fuck? Can you elaborate on what you mean by "wierd-ass mood"?

He never outright said it, but I think his wife left him last year. He spent like a year posting cryptic, whiny, attention seeking little things on Facebook, usually either to provoke and argument with his ex, or in response to one, which tended to then take place in the open on Facebook, all of which your standard Facebook leeches all responded to with typically cliche words of support pretending they're his actual friends, etc. You know how Facebook people are.

Anyway, after that I just knew he'd be totally half-hearted with Candlemass. Looks like the band felt the same. To be perfectly honest I'm surprised they went ahead and recorded the new album with him. I bet you anything you like that Mats Leven was on stand-by throughout the whole process.

Damn, I'm bummed I will never get to see a Lowe or Messiah fronted Candlemass live. I still hope they tour and the new guy is good like I've been hearing.

And hopefully Lowe can get his shit together and tour with Solitude Aeturnus. A new album would be nice as well.

At least he can go back to his acting career now. It's been a while since I've seen him in anything major.

But on a serious note that sucks!

Honestly, Messiah isn't all that great. Lowe's OK, but Mats is a far better front-man than both of them.

If you want to see what they sound like with him, either listen to the version of the 'King of The Grey Islands' with him on vocals, or listen to Krux.

Yeah it's more that I want to see them because of who they are and the albums they sung on even thought they might suck live.

I'll check him out though, I think I downloaded a Krux album recently.
