Don't have anything new to add or anything that hasn't already been said.

However, growing up a metal head in the 80's, Slayer was an important part of my youth and "coming of age"..... so to speak.

Very tough day for me. Like a part of my youth has died.

RIP brother. Thank you for Slayer and memories I'll take to my own grave.

I'm sure Ronnie and Dime were there welcoming you to the club.

I've heard he's always been really sloppy

Been watching the Live at the Warfield dvd again lately, and yeah, even if you don't play the guitar you just "see" it.

By far.

Kerry only ever got more recognition because he had a more unique image.

The comments and tributes from musicians who claim to have known him and been his friend are pretty disappointing.

Maybe they're all grieving and will write something more meaningful in a few days.

RIP to one of the most influential musicians of my life. He brought the worlds of punk and metal together for me. One of my greatest moments in touring was holding his beer for him while the intro to "South of Heaven" played in Japan. I would've guzzled it if he told me to, I don't even care.
