It reminded me a lot of a more extravigant Mass Effect. And I have no problem with that. That was probably what I loves most about it. The only things I didn't care for were the music (I'd prefer a more synthy soundtrack, ala Mass Effect) and Zoe whateverherenameis. I dont know how she became this "geek goddess" but I'm not a fan. The blue chick (her sister) was way hotter anyway.

But I loved the rest. I loved Groot, I loved the raccoon guy, I LOVED Batista and I loved when the main guy danced during the "tense climax" with the bad guy at the end. I actually loved the lead up to the climax more than the climax. The humor was great. It could've been a three hour movie before the twenty minute stand-off and I wouldn't have minded at all. I very rarely want a sequel but in this case I can't wait. To many movies use techno/electronic music as their soundtrack these days, and even if it fits the movie, it just gets annoying after awhile and this one's a breath of fresh air.

I don't need substance and thoughtprovocking dialogue in a movie. I need to be entertained and I need an escape. I got that. It's the best movie I've seen since...2008; the Dark Knight.

9/10
Have to disagree with you on the soundtrack on that one, I thought it surprisingly fit and it was introducing a whole new audience to some old music. Heck, even I have some love for those songs now (guess there's something about Peter Quill challenging Ronin by singing "Ooh Child" and him getting tased to "Hooked On A Feeling" that makes you love the song ).

And since it went to number one on the Billboard (first soundtrack with no original music on it to do so), I have feeling I'm not the only one that feels that way.

I saw it today for the 2nd time and I love it for most of the reasons that you gave; plus for me never hearing of GOTG before I saw it and being pulled in like I was is a big reason why I like it. These days with stuff online I rarely buy DVD's anymore but I will be getting this when it come out

Yeah, I never heard of it either before...December? At first I thought they were scrapping the bottom of the comic book barrel.

I'm kind of sad that they want to do a crossover with Avengers. It's way better than those homos.

Oh, and that arrow was fucking in-sane.

I agree with everything said about GotG. The previews for it made me not really want to see it but I'm glad I did after hearing a ton of really positive reviews of it. Reminded me of a true modern day Star Wars film.

I've seen GotG 4 times now in theaters.

I laughed out loud and smiled the whole time during every viewing.

MOTY.

Best superhero movie.

Great space movie.

Just one of my faves in gen now.

Chris Pratts year yo! (Lego movie was awesome as well )

Also The Drop was quality Hardy just being a boss again at acting. 8.5/10

We Flemish can sure make a movie, ey

Strangely, I'm not interested in Schoenaerts, who has become just a little too arrogant imho.

Long live James Gandolfini.
