I am considering it. I only get to play my kit on Sundays now during band practice. Otherwise I'm resorted to a practice pad which is nowhere enar the same.

I've never played an electronic kit I liked, but I'm willing to put up with it to keep my chops up.

It's about 30 minutes away, or 3 hours if I go during Rush Hour.

It's at my guitarist's basement, which he spent a ton of money to design a studio. But gas money starts to add up after a while.

This is similar to what I have, my is an older model but the same set-up; the brand is Simmons

Like I said I've had mine since Dec. 2011 and the only thing I've had to replace is the kick pad but that is more me going crazy on it and my warranty took care of it. I'm sure you will take better care of it.

It looks like a good enough setup for the pads anyways. The feet, like most electronic kits are the problems, so i'd have to repalce them. It's tempting though...

that blows. also 30 minutes to 3 hours is a huge difference, holy shit. I'm currently trying to find a rehearsal space in San Jose and there's really only one space that I know of and I'm not sure it's that affordable given my current situation. I want to start writing music with my friends

In St. Paul, where I used to have a practice space, well before I got sick in 2013, I had 9 people sharing my practice space at 400 bucks a month, which is not bad split between 9 people.

After that time, my former band wanted a $500 practice space between 5 people. I just don't have an extra hundred bucks to spend on a practice space. So if someone is willing to practice at home and it is set up to where the neighbors had zero problem with it, I'm all for it.

Yeah, sadly I was the one who called for scaling back to practice once a week on Sundays because practicing during the week is impossible for me. We normally have practice at 4 and I have to drive through the twin cities to get there, during rush hour is a nightmare. My car also doesn't have working air conditioning so sitting in a hot car on the freeway in 90 degree plus weather with no AC means that I will die if continued all the time.

I honestly don't have no problem practicing on a practice pad, but it's like bouncing a tennis balla gainst the wall.
