No and I don't plan to based on how bad I've heard it is and the mediocre quality of their other recent output.

Pretty much this.

Title Fight just doing a shift in music, but I thought it had shoegaze vibes.

New Single Mothers is top 10 quality.

New Xerxes is a sweet album.

68' is like The Chariot still making music.

So Pianos Come the Teeth like La Dispute and Seahaven stripped down their music and made it less interesting.

New Transit is also a nice poppy fun album.

I listened to the new Devin Townsend discs. Sky Blue was pretty good. The keyboard interludes were nice but it sounded a bit like he was aping Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Not his best work but nothing to get upset over. There were a couple of bad songs but whatever. One thing was that by the end I was tired of hearing Anneke. In the first few albums she was with him she was used sparingly and it was a little special. Now it's just the same thing every song and I got bored of it.

Dark Matters was pretty bad. The whole thing is just a mess of choirs and no real songs. It would probably work as a movie or a comic book. I can't say it's his worst album but it gets close. I'm a huge Jericholic but he was pretty terrible in his part. I did laugh at the revelation of the Planet Smasher and at the revelation at the end with Ziltoid and Captain Spectacular though. Ziltoid wasn't so much the problem as much as everything else was. The first album had bad parts but it had a lo-fi charm to it. This was just overproduced self-absorbtion. My brother has the three disc version an I gave the instrumental disc a try. A few songs were a little better and the whole thing was less a mess but it just got a little boring. And it showcased the lack of actual songs even more.

So yeah, he should have released them seperate. For a guy who's put out twenty two albums in twenty years I don't know why he didn't.

Upon further listening I think Dark Matters may be the worst thing Devin Townsend has ever released. It's a toss up between that and Deconstruction, but I haven't listened to that album in years and I'm not going back to it to find out.
