High on Fire -- Minneapolis, MN -- March 31st, 2010
I got to the venue just after Bison BC finished, sadly, so I didn't get any of their set. I wasn't familiar with Black Cobra's stuff, but after their show I think I might pick up a few of their albums.
Priestess 1. The Gem 2. Two Kids 3. Communicating Via-Eyes 4. Raccoon Eyes 5. Ladykiller 6. Lunar 7. The Firebird 8. Trapped in Space and Time I'm going to guess that these arent the full song titles, as I managed to get a shot of the setlist before they started. If anybody knows the full song titles, let me know and I'll edit them later. I also was not familiar with their material, but I'm thinking about getting some of their stuff too, they played a pretty cool set. High on Fire (tape) 1. Frost Hammer 2. Devilution 3. How Dark We Pray 4. Hung, Drawn, and Quartered 5. Rumors of War 6. The Yeti 7. Fire, Flood, & Plague 8. Fireface 9. Cometh Down Hessian 10. Blood of Zion 11. Snakes for the Divine ------------------------------- 12. Bastard Samurai 13. Holy Flames of the Fire Spitter High on Fire fucking rule. This is my third time seeing them, but the first time seeing them headline. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of assholes in the crowd. Thats probably just the venue that seems to attract all the goddamned hipsters in the city. Other than that, a great show. I encourage anybody on the fence about going to this, to go and get your balls crushed! EDIT: Shit, I forgot to put the year in the thread

I doubt it was the venue that was the reason for attracting all of the hipsters. They tend to frequently attend the shows of a lot of those types of bands.

Tru dat, but Fireface isn't a bad substitute! Either one works for me.
![]() I just don't know why they rarely seem to play Blessed Black Wings anymore...I love that song so hard.

Also Priestess isn't playing Lay Down or Talk to Her? I couldn't imagine any semi-obscure band not capitalizing on being in Guitar Hero.

Priestess ain't good but I wanna see Black Cobra, don't know if I'll wait til the main attraction or stick it out. The one thing strongly in favor of gettin there for BC and braving Priestess is HOF are quite the palette cleanser, not like they'll have a tough act to follow

Priestess rules.Shocked that they aren't doing Lay Down or I Am the Night, Colour Me Black. Those went off really well when I saw them back in '07.

What shows have you been to there? I've only been to three, two of them I expected to see a different crowd because it was Pelican and Russian Circles. But there were a lot of hipsters at Municipal Waste, and there was some hardcore dancing going on during High on Fire... |
