Yea it's really good. At the back of Sound of The Beast Ian Christe lists his top 25 metal albums and that's actually one of them. A very interesting choice considering most people pick Altars or Covenant. It does have one flaw though: closing with three back to back keyboard interludes.

Yeah I don't quite understand that either. But usually if I don't feel like listening to them, I'll just take the CD out or just listen to them. Trooper is pretty cool

edit: just to show how much better last year was than this year, this album did not make it into my top 10 (or possibly even 20) last year, but it definitely would be in my top 10... or maybe even 5 if it had been released in 2010.
