Peterson and Skolnick for me. Of all the bands mentioned, sans Metallica, Testament has had the biggest influence on me personally.

"Best" and "favorite" are two totally different things. "Favorite" is easy for me to pick: Ihshan and Samoth because they're my favorites off this list. But "best" I have no idea yet. I really have to think about it.

When it comes down to best I think of number of great songs, albums, influence, etc. That immediately nominates the Big 4 along with Priest and Maiden.

Sammy Yil-Sirno didn't join Kreator until long after their influential period.
The better answer for Morbid Angel is Azagthoth and Brunelle. There's too many guitar duos in Cannibal for there to be a definitive one. If anything I guess it would be Rusay and Owen.
