If you had to pick a favorite new millennium pop record, what would it be?
As much as I hate pop,I have to admit their is one or two pop records that I have a guilty pleasure for,and I know all you guys do to! I have to say Demi Lovato's first record "Don't Forget" had some good songs on it,and she definitely was more on the rock side "pop rock",because the guitars on the record are way above average than most of the other pop artists out their. This album even has a few glam rock inspired tracks, like the title track for example. This album also not only draws from pop rock, but power pop as well.Another one I must admit to is Miley Cyrus's "Time Of Our Lives" EP.So there you go,I told you mine,I feel ashamed to admit it,but there it is.

Is pop the reason you don't put spaces where you should when you type?

Anything by Adele. At least she has the ability to sing. |

I'm sorry dude, when spell check doesn't say it's wrong, I will most of the time not notice it, nothing that you or anybody says will changed that, it's a habit I have developed.

THIS IS MY THREAD, WAIT TIL I GET HOME!
edit: okay, I'm home! First things first: K-pop > you. More specifically, Girls Generation > You. That's all. As far as American pop here, I only know things on a song-by-song basis, not albums. But there has been an explosion of better-than-normal pop music in recent years. I kinda feel that more and more pop stars are embracing the Electro sound and becoming more eclectic instead of churning out by-the-books bubblegum pop or vocal-based pop music with boring instrumentals. I'd have to agree with everyone that Lady Gaga is basically the best pop star of the 2000's so far. I'm also not hating the resurgence of boy bands and teen idols. If Jay Biebs can write more songs like this, then he'd be unstoppable. A few of my faves, off the top of my head: La Roux - Bulletproof (This is probably the song that made me fall in love with pop music) Selena Gomez - Love You Like A Love Song Beyonce - Single Ladies Lady Gaga - Paparazzi Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River Kanye West - Stronger Rihanna - Umbrella Gnarls Barkley - Crazy and don't be ashamed bro, here's my favorite Miley song etc. :3 but here's the best pop song ever written

Yeah pretty much. Hell I'll be amazed if they let you graduate high school if you refuse to put spaces after commas.

It's a really bad habit that you should work on correcting as soon as possible. Not just on some message board, someday you'll be sending an e-mail to a boss or a client and if they read something with the poor grammar I've seen it will cost you. You're young, you can correct it. If you leave it until you're older you'll be doomed.

I don't have any full pop records that I really enjoy but I like the first half of Justin Timberlakes Futuresex/Lovesounds. Especially the I Think She Knows Interlude and What Comes Around Goes Around.
