It'll be gone until the sewers & catch basins can't handle anymore & the streets become giant pools. I'm worried about that happening here. Today was the first real melting day (44 degrees) and the puddles were massive already.

I saw a cute video of a dog running around in the snow... it made me squeel like a Japanese school girl
