To be fair, if it's a tour there's a 75% chance Battlecross is on it

I love Tool (hence my usename!) but I don't know if I'd spend the money to see them live again. The last 2 tours were a waste - completely "phoned in" performances from the band, same old setlist, and only a little more than an hour all for $95. Meh.

This. The only way I'd go see Tool is if I knew we were getting a bunch of new material. Seeing as how it's been a century since there was a new Tool album, there's no guarantee of that. I'll let all the Bro's waste their money on this one instead.

seen tool 8 times, 4 of those since the release of the last album, and the last was probably one of the overall best times, visually, sound quality, and performance wise.

such little variation to the setlist does suck, but to be fair, its not like they are just 4 dudes standing on stage playing songs, its a whole production that surely takes a lot of time and money to alter significantly. not to mention, its not like they are bringing that same show to the exact same cities/venues 4 or 5 times over, they generally are very good about hitting up every possible area for them to play on a given album cycle. (if we can even call this an album cycle at this point hah)

The 2x I saw them they were fantastic. The only downer was the fact the first time I saw them it was heavier on 10,000 Days songs. It's not like anybody in the band is going to be running around like Dillinger Escape Plan or something. That's just not what the band has ever done. Idk why this is a big deal now. Would there be as much complaining if they would have released a new album by now?

Dunno, they'll probably do a tour with the reunited Fleetwood Mac.
