This was only my 2nd MDF but it was about the same thing for setlists last year.

At first I was kind of bummed too that the headliners didn't get a huge amount of time, but when it actually came to seeing them, I was actually okay with it. It seemed like a perfect amount of time so they could fit in so many killer bands each day.

They should totally put another stage right there when you come into the Edison Lot and just add more bands.

I would just be more happy if the fest started earlier to make 0 overlaps. That's the ONLY complaint from me.

I mean, yeah I'd like that too but I'm only kidding myself if I think I can get my lazy ass up to the Edison Lot each day at like 10 AM.

Not talking that extreme but like an hour earlier would save a ton on overlaps.

the other solstafir song played was the title track, Svartir Sandar. God damn were they awesome- really hoping they come back some time

Also, the intro they played was "Nattfari"

Front row center for it

So I did the VIP thing for MDF this year and met Mgla after the show. Really nice guys, but wow the vocalist doesn't look like a metalhead at all haha.
