Iron Maiden -- Holmdel, New Jersey -- June 14th, 2008
6 word: Best concert I've ever been to.
The attendees were myself, Ben (KillYourFace), Mike (Div), and our buddy Matt. The four of us arrived at PNC around 4:45, and the parking lots didn't open til 5, so we and hundreds of other cars just sat there waiting. We eventually got in, and we proceeded to eat the subs we got and just chill in the parking lot with other Maidenoids. The people next to us were hurling footballs with people about 150 feet away, and they kept hitting cars by accident. This went on til around 7:45 when we decided to go in. Yeah, we skipped Lauren Harris and Trivium. Trivium finish the last song in their set as we're getting to where we want to stand (because we had lawn tickets). We got in the very center, right up against the barrier. As Trivium left the stage and the rest of Maiden's shit was being set up, the heavens let loose. Thats right, a huge thunderstorm was right on top of us the entire gig. It was incredible. Lightning striking down in the hills around the amphitheater and a torrential rain that kept up most of the time. We were absolutely drenched, but it was an awesome experience. Maiden's set wasn't different, and they sounded absolutely incredible. The sound was perfect, and they were all on top of their game. Not much to really say about it, it was perfect. Well, haha, except for at the end. Steve accidentally fucked up in the first 2 seconds of The Clairvoyant bass intro, stopped for a second, and restarted. Bruce started laughing and making "D'oh!" like exclamations for a few seconds, it was pretty funny. The setlist: 1. Aces High 2. 2 Minutes to Midnight 3. Revelations 4. The Trooper 5. Wasted Years 6. The Clairvoyant 16. Hallowed Be Thy Name Pictures ... I didn't get to take too many, I didn't want my camera to get destroyed by the rain. i know what it's like to be standing in a torrential downpour like that, but it can only add to a concert experience such as maiden!

I am also writing a full review for the show right now. It was awesome when it began raining cats and dogs as soon as Trivium left the stage. I was the guy waving around my british flag like a loony on the lawn area one last time before me and my friends rushed to a nice spot in the mid section .

This was the best show of my life!!!
I had great seats (15th row on the right)...the show was amazing....the band played great...and I got to be onstage with Maiden during Heaven Can Wait!!! As soon as they let us out I ran right to the front...it was awesome! Absolutely perfect...I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Now more Maiden tonight at MSG in the city!

Glad you guys had fun! Too bad about the rain! The more I think about this tour and the 3 shows I saw
 the more I think they were among the best I've ever attended!

About halfway through the show I managed to knock my glasses off my face (apparently I was pretty drunk). I spent the next 15 minutes on the floor looking for them with no luck. After the show was over I found them about 6 rows in front of me on the other side of the aisle. Talk about good luck. I've been to dozens of GA shows and never had a problem with my glasses, so it's kind of funny that this happened at a show with seats.

Seen them 6 times and this was the best. Thunder, Lightning, and rain leading up to the greatest band of all time.
